The palisades fire: they gave up
Filmmaker Rob Montz uncovers the untold story of the Palisades Fire when hundreds of homes - including his own childhood home - were lost but could have been saved. This half-hour documentary exposes a “conscious decision to give up” while the blaze still raged on January 8, 2025. Released December 2025 on YouTube.
LA COUNTY FIRE DEPT COMMUNITY BRIGADE
Some of our own Paradise Cove neighbors have trained to join the volunteers at the LA Count Fire Department Community Brigade. We are proud to partner with the brigade and encourage you to learn more about this innovative community based program. Volunteers can sign up for training or you can support this organization by clicking the link below.
Community meeting - nov 8
Residents met on Saturday November 8 at 4pm in the Rec Center to hear from our new private firefighters from All Risk Shield, and ask questions. Information about our fire safety plans and how each homeowner can step up to support the plan was shared. The session was catered by PC Beach Cafe.
